Polaroid - Going Back to it’s Roots

Posted by kylistah on January 7, 2008

I remember back in my younger years the time when owning a Polariod camera was awesome, cool, and convenient. Being able to print your pictures out right there on the spot, how cool was that! Remember waiving the pictures around or blowing on them, trying to get the picture to hurry up and develop?

Well, this article on CNN announces that Polaroid is going back to it’s roots and plans to start selling a portable printer for images on cell phones and digital cameras.

Just like the old Polaroid instant-film cameras, they require no ink! The tiny printer will use thermal printing technology from startup Zink Imaging Inc. And to make it even more convenient, it’s said to weigh only 8 ounces and the size to be no bigger than a deck of cards.

Getting Stuck in Linux

Posted by kylistah on January 7, 2008

I’m always telling people that Linux is a never ending learning process. I’ve been using Linux for years and I continuously find myself stuck on one thing or another, searching Google for the answers. I found this nifty little article this morning titled “Linux Command Line - v1.1, The most complete and updated list of commands on Linux by LinuxGuide.it - over 350 linux commands!”

Check it out, I’m certain it’ll come in handy!

A Man, an iPhone, and a Subway

Posted by kylistah on January 7, 2008

Just when I think I’ve heard most of the stories about the things that people do for their iPhone..

According to this article from Wired, Bijan Rezvani loves his iPhone a little too much. The article suggests that he either loves it too much or needs a vacation. I’m just going to go with stupidity. Bijan Rezvani lost his iPhone on the New York subway, spotted it on the tracks and jumped down to get it.
