Paramount Pictures and Dreamworks Animation — which started off HD DVD only before deciding to go both ways — have officially announced plans to release movies exclusively on HD DVD, dropping Blu-ray support entirely.
I’m definitely interested in seeing the end results.

Just ran across this, albeit a couple months old, but thought it was interesting nonetheless as it looks like they’ve used old pictures of Crysis when it is running DX9 mode and labeling them DX10, heh. I personally would like to see OpenGL development start picking up. DirectX is more than just 3D rendering and API’s are more about the usability and speed of development than they are about the end result. The images in the link above are pre-rendered, it’d be nice to see them in actual game play.
All in all, OpenGL and DirectX really aren’t all that different once you get past the API level.
